Mas Rico! follows on from our previous party Que Rico! - as Carlos Tairona has left we decided to change the name. Many thanks to Carlos for his contribution to the success of Que Rico! For our new party we are very happy to welcome DJ Loco, widely considered the U.K.'s top Urban Latin DJ, to join Que Rico! veterans Steve M & myself as a resident DJ. In addition on June 3rd we have the excellent DJ Deoh as special guest. See below for some short DJ biogs.

Mas Rico! is a unique Saturday night latin party mixing up Reggaeton, Salsa, Zouk, Latin Hip Hop, Merengue, Bachata, Urban Latin & Tropical Fusions. Resident DJs are DJ Loco (Barrio Latino, Barrio Fino), Steve M (Que Rico!, Barrio Fino) & Mark Wimmers (Que Rico!) + live percussion. On June 3rd our special guest will be DJ Deoh (Heatwave, Rumba FM). Admission is £8 or £5 on the guestlist. Guest DJ June 3rd - DJ Deoh
Originally from Ecuador, DJ Deoh has rocked parties all over the world with his mix of Reggaeton, Latin Hip Hop, Salsa, Merengue, Latin House & Bachata - from Barcelona to London & Leeds to Mallorca. In 2001 he started playing on London's first Latin American pirate radio station, Rumba 106.5FM & since then he has been an integral part of the Rumba DJ crew, playing all over London at venues such as the Fridge, Turnmills-Anexo, Colosseum, Rococo, SiN, Troy Bar & Jamm. DJ Deoh has monthly residencies at Heatwave @ The Rhythm Factory, Salsa With More Flow @ RetoxBar & Got 2 go @ Meet Bar & a soon to be launched new night - Magnate @ SiN Club.

Resident DJ - DJ Loco
DJ Loco is, at 23 years old, widely thought of as the top Urban Latin DJ in London. He was a resident DJ at Tequila Sunrise & Barrio Fino & has played at Barrio Latino, Latin Jam, Subsounds, Arizona, Havana, Bar Rumba, The Coliseum, The Fridge, Cargo, Club Supreme, Canvas, Ministry of Sound, Play Bar, Suga Suga, Recola & The Marquee, as well as to 1,000 + people at the Carnaval del Pueblo. DJ Loco supported DJ Nelson at his recent massive La Linea show at SE One & will be a resident at the new night Fuego at Fire. After guesting on Andy "El Niño" Cueto's show on Rumba FM he was given his own show which lasted for over a year & was followed by a show on 95.1 Latino FM. Loco has been making his own music for some time & was one half (with MC. Magico) of La Raza, London's first Reggaeton group & one of the most exciting new acts which emerged from London's Urban Latin music scene. Since the demise of La Raza DJ Loco has continued to produce for several other latin acts as well as making his own music & 2 of his tracks will be appearing on a Reggaeton compilation this summer. Born in London of Colombian parents, Loco represents the new generation of Latino DJ's just as happy playing R&B, Hip Hop, Dancehall & Bashment as Salsa, Merengue & Reggaeton but at Mas Rico! he will be playing a predominantly Urban Latin music set.

Resident DJ's - Steve M & Mark Wimmers
Record collectors for over 25 years, Steve M & Mark Wimmers belong to that small group of DJ's whose obsessive musical curiosity has led to a unique style - in their cases a pick 'n mix approach to Tropical music where the dancers end up not being sure what they are dancing to - is it Zouk or is it Merengue ? Cumbia or Hip Hop ? Reggaeton or Salsa ? In September 2004 Steve & Mark, along with Carlos Tairona, started Que Rico!, a club that lasted until September of last year & became the most influential Latin club in London of recent years by mixing up Reggaeton, Salsa, Latin Hip Hop, Merengue & Bachata with genres not normally played in London Latin clubs - Zouk, Coupe Decale, Ragga Kreyol, Compas, Cumbia, Champeta, Rumba Catalana & tracks picked from across the Spanish, French & Portuguese speaking Tropics. Steve & Mark's new club Mas Rico! will start on Saturday 3rd June & run on the first Saturday of every month at Cafe Logic in Soho.
